Every once in a while, someone will order multiple cakes to offer their guests some more variety. Today is International Friendship day, so it felt like a great time to share these two cakes that are clearly besties!🩷 I believe the first cake was a lemon cake with raspberry buttercream, and the other was strawberry cake with vanilla.

We've mentioned that we'll apply a thin layer of vanilla buttercream over certain flavors to make the cake white, but we also do that with colors! This stunning quinceañera cake has fresh strawberries between the layers, white buttercream outside, and a very thin coat of that vivid blue buttercream on top of that. We love offering our clients the colors that fit their vision, but we also try our best to limit the amount of food coloring that their guests are consuming.

This was for a wedding this past weekend and we were SO in love with how it turned out. A vintage sweetheart cake for the happy couple, 8 beautiful gluten free & vegan cupcakes for the guests who need them, and one MASSIVE sheet cake for the caterers to serve the guests. All of the desserts were strawberry cake with cream cheese buttercream and fresh strawberries on top.

This client requested a vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream with a silver and rose gold color scheme. We'll often apply a thiiiiiin layer of vanilla buttercream to the outside of certain orders to adjust the color. The white was the perfect backdrop for the shimmery flowers!

Much like the real moon, photos of this cake just don't do it justice. Both cakes are absolutely covered in glitter and the moon (funfetti with vanilla buttercream) gently fades from navy to royal blue. The Sun cake (funfetti with orange creamsicle buttercream) has a fantastic golden shimmer covering the whole thing!
